What you will do in your working day

Role Responsibilities:

  • Commit to the L6 Apprenticeship and complete all training and assessments
  • Provide high-quality careers advice and guidance to students and maintain accurate records
  • Support the Director of Careers in auditing and planning careers provision that aligns with statutory guidance and the academy's development plans
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with students, alumni, parents, staff, and external stakeholders to enhance the Careers
  • Education, Information, Advice, and Guidance (CEIAG) program
  • Monitor and track students' destinations
  • Ensure priority groups (e.g., PP/SEND) receive appropriate CEIAG support

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Develop and stay updated on local opportunities available to students, including education, apprenticeships and Local Labour Market Information
  • Organize presentations and careers activities
  • Create and update careers literature and web-based information
  • Manage and promote the use of careers resources, including books, software, and websites
  • Support logging of student engagement with CEIAG via Unifrog
  • Assist in sourcing and approving work experience placements
    Attend school trips, parents’ evenings, and results days as directed

  • Adhere to GDPR and Data Protection regulations while maintaining confidentiality
  • Pursue professional development opportunities through training and informal and formal contact with colleagues, accessed via the performance management review program
