What you will do in your working day

  • Learn the skills necessary to provide administrative support in the delivery of the Finance Services function inclusive of accounts payable, receivable and petty cash procedure. 
  • Assist the team with face to face, telephone enquiries and basic administration duties.
  • Maintain electronic and hard copy filing systems as required, whilst maintaining confidentiality.
  • Act as an apprentice ambassador by attending events and undertaking projects to actively promote apprenticeships and the company.

The training you will be getting

You will work towards achieving a Level 2 Finance Assistant Apprenticeship Standard training will be provided by The Education Collective at Stockton College.

For the accounts or finance assistant, the qualification required is one of the following (chosen by employer):

  • AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting
  • Institute of Certified Bookkeepers Certificate in Bookkeeping
  • Institute of Accountants and Bookkeepers Level 2 Certificate in Accounting and Business

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

  • You will have the opportunity to progress to a Level 3 Apprenticeship, and apply for opportunities within our Finance Department.
