What you will do in your working day

We take an enormous amount of pride in watching apprentices grow and develop their skills to become accomplished trades people.  By injecting talented people into our business means that we can create the next generation of first-class painters, decorators that will allow S&C Painting Services to grow for.

  • Preparing the materials you will need.
  • Stripping off old wallpaper or layers of paint. ·
  • Filling holes and cracks and making sure surfaces are level ready for paint or wallpaper.·
  • Covering surfaces with primer and undercoat. ·
  • Mixing paint to the right shade, often using computerised colour-matching equipment.
  • Tidying up after finishing and cleaning your tools.
  • Working as part of a team.

The training you will be getting

  • Painting and Decorating Level 2
  • 1 day per week training provided by Walsall College
  • Maths & English Fuctional Skills Level 2 (if required).
