What you will do in your working day

  • Perform microbiology testing, including bioburdens, plate reading, sterility testing, growth promotion, and inactivation, as per Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Report deviations in the Quality Management System and complete non-investigative records.
  • Conduct testing of intermediate and finished products in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice and relevant pharmacopoeia requirements

The training you will be getting

Laboratory Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard

  • You will receive the Level 3 Laboratory Technician qualification via Corndel and will be 1 day a week

With experience, you could:

  • Become a lab supervisor or lab manager
  • Specialise in complex analysis work
  • Apply to become a Registered Science Technician to develop your career
