We are offering a full-time apprenticeship in Level 2 Stonemasonry. We design, supply and install new stonework and other hard-bodied materials onto buildings throughout London. Stone fixing is a specialist trade that we want to invite the younger generation to learn about and continue into the future.

    Monday to Friday plus overtime available. Normally 8:00 till 5:30 - may vary depending on site. Block Release - 2 weeks every other month

What you will do in your working day

  • Shadowing our experienced stone fixers on site
  • Internal and external fittings
  • General site maintenance and housekeeping

The training you will be getting

  • Level 2 NVQ in Stonemasonry
  • Training will be conducted at the Building Crafts College in Stratford, London
  • The classroom training will be block release of 2 weeks every quarter, and the site training will be incorporated with working with a fixer
  • Functional Skills in English and maths if required

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

  • Earn the title of fixers mate
  • Opportunity to do a level 3 NVQ and become a Stone fixer
  • Opportunities to do further training for further progression in the industry

Things to consider

Some important additional factors to consider involve the physical requirements within the role, which include frequent heavy lifting, working out doors and working with heavy machinery. The applicant must also be 18+
