What you will do in your working day

The Community Sports Activator will have a love of sports and fitness and be physically active themselves. They will play a vital role in improving public health by supporting, enhancing, and delivering the day-to-day operations and services of a leisure / fitness facility.

  • Supporting the day-to-day operations and services of a leisure / fitness facility 
  • Working directly with children and adults of all ages  
  • Working collaboratively with a wide range of partner organisations 
  • Undertaking routine maintenance of equipment and maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the environment 
  • Group Activity Leader 
  • Setting up equipment for activities, events, and competitions 
  • Offering excellent customer service as a first point of contact for customers, answering queries and dealing with straightforward complaints (underpinned by excellent product knowledge) 
  • Maintaining accurate records and promoting activities using facilities IT systems
