What you will do in your working day

  • Support stylists in the every day running of the salon
  • Ensure that customers are looked after
  • Ensure the salon is kept clean and tidy
  • Booking in appointments
  • Shampooing clients
  • Training alongside stylists to learn various cutting and styling techniques, colouring, perming, etc.

The training you will be getting

  • You will be working in our salon which is based opposite the Walton Retail Park in Peterborough, whilst attending Peterborough College one day per week.
  • Along with the training provider we will offer full training in all aspects of the salon from customer care and understanding client requirements, to learning how to shampoo and condition the hair and scalp, and cut hair to achieve a variety of looks, and colouring and perming of hair. 
  • On successful completion of the apprenticeship you will attain a Level 2 Hairdressing Professional Certificate via an end point assessment.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

  • On succesful completion of the apprenticeship there is to the potential to become a full time stylist with the salon.
