We have helped many apprentices through their apprenticeship & would be happy to assist the right candidate to achieve their qualification. You will participate in most areas of pre-school life including personal care and cleaning.

What you will do in your working day

  • You will be working with children aged 2 - 4 years +
  • During your time at the setting, you will be assigned a learning mentor
  • After a successful probationary period, you will be allocated a key child/children
  • We will ensure that you are fully aware of the settings policies and procedures including safeguarding and confidentiality
  • The apprentice would be expected to be courteous to all colleagues, visitors, children and parents
  • The apprentice must be motivating and engaging whilst with the children

The training you will be getting

You will study at Boston College for half a day per week, during this time you will attend workshops delivered by industry trained staff which will enable you to carry out the written work to complete your qualification.  You will also study Paediatric First Aid or Emergency Paediatric First Aid as a mandatory qualification

On successful completion of the course, you will achieve a Level 3 qualification

About the employer

We are a long established setting having run for the last 20 years from our current premises. We cater for children aged from 2 -4 years and work term time only. We are next to Park Academy Primary School and have successfully worked with apprentices over the last 9 years.
