What you will do in your working day

  • Learning all aspects of fabrication and welding
  • Assisting in assembling gates and railings
  • Receiving deliveries and re-stocking areas
  • General housekeeping , keeping the work area clean and tidy
  • Preparing gates and railings etc. for galvanising and powder coating.

The training you will be getting

  • Metal fabricator apprenticeship Level 3
  • Working 4 days a week at FCG, Amy Johnson, Blackpool FY4 3RS
  • 1 day per week day release at B&FC, Ashfeild Rd, Bispham FY2 0HB

Things to consider

Occasionally working outdoors / on site, involved in fitting of gates and railings. Some manual handling and heavy lifting will be involved. Need to be friendly and sociable when working with others. May occasionally need to talk to customers and deal with delivery drivers passing on information.
