What you will do in your working day

Detailed Job Role – Administrative Apprentice

·        To help all students and parents with any enquiries/problems they may have

·        Assist with school communications

·        Assist with attendance management procedures

·        Send letters/emails to parents as required

·        Sending home relevant paperwork and contacting home

·        Coordinate and provide admin support to support the wider team

·        Organise coach quotes and bookings for PE fixtures

·        Administer the bookings for the school minibus including external hiring

·        Co-ordinate the documentation for Primary school outreach work as requested

·        Sending out invitations to local primary schools

·        Design certificates for rewarding student achievement and progress

·        Design posters, tickets and invitations for school events

·        Set up all parents evenings and monitor uptake · Administrate the biannual ski trip and annual Duke of Edinburgh Awards: Enrol and collect payments for registration and Duke of Edinburgh expeditions Allocate participation places include ordering materials Verify student awards for Duke of Edinburgh Produce certification for Duke of Edinburgh Co-ordinate documentation for staff and students for the above trips Type all relating letters

·        Inputting & maintaining student information on school systems

·        Admin support for SLT, SENco and the PA

·        Provide parent support for the school homework system

·        To administer basic first aid to students and staff

·        Any other duties as directed by the Principal

The training you will be getting

Qualifications – BTEC Level 3 Diploma for Administration; Functional Skills in English and maths if required
Learning style – face-to-face, online and workplace coaching
Progression – develop your skills and progress towards management
Duration – typically 15 months

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

After successfully completing this administrative programme, you’ll be awarded BTEC Level 3 Diploma for Administration – which is at an equivalent level to A Levels. With this qualification you’ll enhance your employability – and you could move on to study the Level 3 Team Leader Supervisor programme, or potentially the Level 5 Operations/Departmental Manager apprenticeship.
