What you will do in your working day

  • Complete daily worksheet with all relevant information i.e production, overtime, downtime etc.
  • Identify work to be done from production board/supervisor
  • Stock pen with sundries i.e screws, staples, glue etc for the days production
  • Notify supervisor of any shortages/incorrect parts
  • Make sub-assemblies as required i.e side panels, top arms, top back rail etc.
  • Set up sub-assemblies ready for final assembly
  • Assemble frames from sub-assemblies and stack on trolley when complete
  • Keeping work area clean and tidy

The training you will be getting

Your apprenticeship training will take place within the workplace. You will work alongside friendly, experienced staff members who will be there to support you, in addition to the continous support provided by the teaching staff from Springfield Training. You will be fully supported as you work towards gaining an Furniture manufacturer Level 2 qualification. 

Functional Skills English and Maths if required.
