What you will do in your working day

The job description is as follows, but this is not exclusive, and the suitable candidate would be expected to carry out other duties that may not be listed below to benefit the business:

  • Data entry of clients’ information, this includes processing receipts/invoices through to accounting software ensuring that all information is accurate and correct.
  • Reconciling Bank Transactions and discussing any queries with clients appropriately to get them resolved swiftly.
  • Reconciling clients’ debtors and creditors, making sure they match up to supplier statements and requesting any missing information from the client or their suppliers.
  • General administration tasks including compiling clients’ letters of engagement.
  • Dealing with client e-mails and getting back to them where required.
  • Answering phone calls and passing on the relevant person within the business or taking a message appropriately.
  • Basic payroll tasks where required and supervised by another staff member.
  • Completing any other tasks assigned by colleagues.

The training you will be getting

  • Level 2 Accounts/Finance Assistant at Stockton Riverside College, this will be one day a week at the college.
  • Functional skills Maths and English, if required.

Things to consider

Holiday entitlement is 28 days including bank holidays and usually three days to be held back for over the Christmas period.
