What you will do in your working day

Edyta's Little Explorers are looking for a Level 2 Early Years Practitioner to join their team!

This role includes:

  • Deliver high quality provision within the setting
  • Provide a safe, welcoming, purposeful, stimulating and encouraging environment where children feel confident and secure and can develop and learn
  • Monitor and evaluate children's learning through a range of assessment and monitoring strategies.
  • Promote positive behaviour, self-control, and independence through implementing our behaviour policy
  • Actively support the development of children’s language and communication skills
  • Provide safe, appropriate, child-led, and adult initiated experiences, activities and play opportunities in indoor, outdoor and in out-of-setting contexts, which enable children to develop and learn
  • Provide a safe, secure, and caring environment for the children in your charge promoting a confident, friendly, and caring attitude.

The training you will be getting

Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. Edyta's Little Explorers will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day. You will be working towards the Level 2 Early Years Practitioner apprenticeship standard, which includes: Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours Level 2 Early Years Practitioner Qualification Functional skills in Maths and English if required This will be delivered through Edyta's Little Explorers’s dedicated training provider, Realise. Realise is an established training provider that’s enjoying an exciting period of growth following a management buyout and rebrand in late 2020.

About the employer

My name is Edyta. I am an Ofsted registered childminder in Acklam area. In my care the children always have the option to play outside. In the garden are things such as a sand pit, a water tray, digging and planting area, picnic table. Almost every weather is suitable to play outside. I am registered by Ofsted and follow The Early Years Foundation Stage guidelines and standards
