What you will do in your working day

Our client was founded in 2002 and are one of the largest and longest established suppliers of branded USB sticks and tech gifts in the UK, with over 1.5 million printed, engraved and customised USB sticks produced every year. They work with well-known brands, creating customised products for marketing and branding purposes. They are now looking for an apprentice to be responsible for supporting the Sales Team in delivering client orders in an effective, timely and accurate manner. The core duties will include:

  • Supporting with developing relationships with key clients and in day-to-day management of them
  • Covering account managers during absence and holiday periods (account managers work closely with key clients, so it will be your responsibility to keep in touch with the clients during absences)
  • Updating pricing and product information lists and databases
  • Ensuring the online Customer Management System is regularly updated
  • Briefing the client's requirements to the Far East and UK production teams so they can create suitable products for the client
  • Overseeing order productions and liaising between factory and customers
  • Managing requests for samples from clients and following up on if the clients wish to proceed with placing an order

Skills Required:

  • Self-motivation and a confident manner
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills, including on the phone
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Excel, Word and Power Point
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good organisational skills, ability to prioritise and manage workload
  • Ability to self-organise and to work under pressure to tight deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with internal and external supplier base
  • Hardworking and enthusiastic
