What you will do in your working day

  • Supporting the senior chefs in the day to day running of a busy new kitchen.
  • Helping to prepare food, plate up meals and general kitchen duties.
  • You will work with our close knit team, seeing all aspects of how a
    kitchen is run.
  • Keeping the kitchen clean and meeting health and hygiene standards.

The training you will be getting

You will be working towards the skills, knowledge and behaviours required to achieve the Level 2 Commis Chef apprenticeship standard;

Commis chef / Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education

You will be required to attend the London Rd Campus one day per week for your day release and the remainder of your working week wil be in the workplace.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

To be a qualified Commis Chef within the restaurant.

Things to consider

The location is considered remote and so you must have access to travel arrangements for work.

About the employer

This is a new restaurant to Ford and so we are excited to have apprentices to grow with this venture and become part of our exciting team. With experienced owners, with other establishments, we are keen to expand and take others on this journey with us!
