    Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm (40 hours per week). Possibility to work overtime which is agreed and paid in additional to annual salary.

What you will do in your working day

-          Preparing the work area in readiness for painting and decorating – taping up, removing furniture, applying floor coverings.

-          Selecting the correct materials and tools appropriate to the project.

-          Using traditional painting methods to paint walls, ceilings, skirting and architrave.

-          Measuring, cutting and applying wallpaper or fabric to walls. 

-          Spray painting - walls, ceilings, doors and more.

-          Working on interior and exterior projects.

-          Opportunity to support with kitchen resprays.

-          Using modern technology to complete work such as HVLP sprayers.

-          Communicating and liaising with customers.

-          Ensuring you keep a clean and tidy work area.

-          Liaising and working with other trades as required.

The training you will be getting

-          Level 2 Painter and Decorator Apprenticeship

-          Functional Skills in English and/or Maths if required

-          Training at the college. Block release attending 1 week in 5.
