Are you passionate about working with wood and eager to learn the craft of carpentry? Tailor Made Joinery, a small but dynamic carpentry company based in Kettering, is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join the apprenticeship program.

  • Learn the process of understanding drawings and work in accordance with specifications
  • Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed
  • Follow health & safety policy and procedures, including the wearing of personal protective equipment (PPE) where needed
  • Use various tools, equipment and materials safely

The training you will be getting

  • Level 2 Carpentry and Joinery qualification
  • Functional Skills in maths and English, if required.
  • You will work for four days and be in college for one day a week at Moulton College based in Higham Ferrers.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

  • Further progression may well be available in other areas within our sector, upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.

About the employer

At Tailor Made Joinery, we specialise in custom woodworking, joinery for heritage and listed buildings incorporating traditional joinery. Our team is committed to quality craftsmanship and attention to detail, and we take pride in creating beautiful and functional pieces for our clients. The apprenticeship is for two years, you will work for four days and be in college for one day a week at Moulton College based in Higham Ferrers, where you will gain a Level 2 in Carpentry and Joinery.
