What you will do in your working day

  • As a Field Service Apprentice the opportunities will be endless.
  • Imagine getting to see our business from the inside, gaining the skills that lead to an engineering career, studying for a recognised qualification... and getting paid for doing it!
  • If you are interested in becoming a qualified Field Service Engineer, this role is for you.
  • Through college study and on-the-job training, you’ll learn about the mechanics and electrics of gas fuelled internal combustion engines and associated CHP plant. – and how to maintain these valuable pieces of kit.
  • IMPORTANT: The area covers Peterborough to Norwich, Cambridge across to Ipswich and down to Colchester. These are where you will potentially need to commute to. The Liverpool address attached is the address to the company HQ and not part of the areas you will be asked to cover.

The training you will be getting

  • The learner will be studying the Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard qualification.
  • Day release to West Suffolk College

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

By the end of the apprenticeship you will have attained a range of engineering skills that will enable you carry out preventative and reactive maintenance and you will be on track to become a fully qualified Field Service Engineer - earning more than £43,000 per year.
