What you will do in your working day

  • Set up learning spaces including moving equipment
  • Assist in monitoring and maintaining a safe environment
  • Assist with planning, preparing and delivering a high-quality playing environment
  • Provide comprehensive care for children of all ages
  • Support and maintain the logging of confidential records
  • Support children with literacy and numeracy
  • Supporting in the maintaining of good relationships with school, parents and children

The training you will be getting

  • The training for the programme will include online learning, webinars, practical sessions and visits in the workplace.
  • On completion you will achieve a level 2 Playworker qualification and Functional Skills in maths and English, as required.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

  • Following completion of the apprenticeship, there will be further employment opportunities available.
