Your daily duties will be to provide support to the reception and admin team. You will liaise with patients and other healthcare providers including pharmacies and secondary care to provide an excellent service to the general public. You should be professional and project a friendly image to patients and visitors both face to face and the phone.

What you will do in your working day

Your daily duties will be to provide support to the reception and admin team.

- Reception work, meeting and speaking to patients

- Office administration including scanning & filing

- Dealing with general enquiries via telephone, email or face to face.

Confidentiality Confidentiality is extremely important throughout the whole of the NHS and at Crystal Peaks Medical Centre we pride ourselves on ensuring our patients trust us with their sensitive information. They do so in confidence and expect that all staff respect their privacy. During the performance of the expected duties outlined in the Job Description, the post-holder will have access to confidential information including both patient and carer information and information relating to the business organisation. The post-holder should always act appropriately and all information should be regarded as strictly confidential. During the post-holders time at the practice, they will become accustomed to the practices confidentiality protocol and the protection of personal and sensitive data. Health and Safety The post-holder will assist in promoting and maintaining their own health and safety, and security whilst in practice in line with the practice protocol, these include: • Reporting any areas of concern to the Practice Manager/ Assistant Practice Manager • Be mindful of colleagues and patients’ safety when working • Adhere to any policies or training received on any health and safety topics • Ensure you are trained and competent in any duties you do before carrying anything out that could harm the health and safety of yourself or others Equality and Diversity The post-holder will support the equality, diversity and rights of patients, carers and colleagues in line with the practice protocol. About the employer

At Crystal Peaks Medical Centre we take pride in delivering high quality care and run clinics for chronic disease management and offer a wide variety of other medical services such as antenatal and postnatal care, minor surgery including joint injections, childhood vaccinations, contraceptive implants and coil fitting. We have allied professionals working on site delivering counselling and cognitive behavioural therapy (IAPT workers), as well as physiotherapists and our midwife.
