This is a fantastic opportunity to learn and be trained on the following equipment: CSCS, NPORS or EUSR in, Soil - Landfill compactor. You will also be trained on 360 excavator above 10 tonnes tracked, Dump truck –articulated and rigid chassis – all sizes, Tractor, Dozer, Tracked loading shovel, Telehandler). It is key you work to the H&S on site.

What you will do in your working day

This vacancy is for:

  • A full-time position working as a plant operator using various site machinery.
  • Working 5 days per week Monday to Friday,

You will be required to - Operation of Site in Compliance with all requirements, operating to all legislative requirements e.g. PPC and Health and Safety Law

·        Ability to control vehicles on the operational face to ensure the safe disposal of each waste load

·        Ability to identify non-conforming waste, segregate and inform site management so they can communicate with the customer

·        Able to perform basic duties to include the compaction of waste, application of daily cover, profiling of waste contours and understand the importance of ensuring a stable operational area

·        Be a good communicator with customers, site staff and visitors to include FCC surveyors to ensure the operation is efficient.

·        Be dedicated to ensuring plant is fit and safe for use, by carrying out daily checks and routine maintenance to include greasing, filter cleaning and wash down. Report any defects, ensure any plant parked up is not in use.

·        Operate plant for brake testing

·        Greet plant inspectors, ensure you assist them in their duties.

·        Able to carry out waste / soil / fines sampling, understanding the importance of an appropriate sampling technique.

·        Identify and report environmental non-compliance to the site team in a timely manner.

·        Qualified to CSCS, NPORS or EUSR in

o   Soil - Landfill compactor (desired, training can be given
