What you will do in your working day

  • Welcome children in with a smile and a hug, offer them breakfast and comfort them if they’re upset
  • Set up age-appropriate activities that your team will help you plan
  • Create a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
  • Learn how to work collaboratively with parents and other staff members to support children's individual needs
  • Learn to observe and assess children’s play and behaviour so that any areas of concern can be identified
  • Learn how to accurately record the children’s activities and progress to track their development
  • Learn about and follow safeguarding and health and safety guidelines

The training you will be getting

  • Early Years Educator Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard qualification
  • Apprentices must successfully complete the Apprentices must successfully complete a first aid qualification in line with the requirements of the EYFS Framework 
  • Functional Skills in maths and English, if required
  • Training schedule has yet to be agreed. Details will be made available at a later date

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

  • For the successful candidate there is the possibility of ongoing employment upon completion of the relevant qualification
