What you will do in your working day

During the apprentice training you will discover and learn all aspects of the associate engineer – apprentice position. Tasks will include understanding client issues, writing client issues into the internal case ticketing system, learning problem solving techniques to solve or escalate these incidents and service requests within the company.

  • Attend required coursework in conjunction with the aligned external training program’s required classes
  • Learn the systems, processes and techniques involved in troubleshooting client issues
  • Appropriately assign tickets to the correct engineering resources
  • Reassign tickets based on priority
  • Provide engineer queue management based on capacity and skillset
  • Handle overflow for incoming call queue on an as-needed basis
  • Create new tickets for overflow on an as-needed basis
  • Handle technician level service request on an as needed basis
  • Identify variable billing request and seek approval by the Manage
  • Provide daily ticket transfer communications between day shift and night shifts
  • Provide Customer Service when required based on service

The training you will be getting

  • You will work towards your Information Communication Technician level 3 apprenticeship programme and will receive this qualification once passed and completed the course. Training will be delivered remotely (only the training and not working remotely). You will be assigned a trainer and skills work coach to support throughout the programme.
