What you will do in your working day

  • To prepare, review and post various recoding and accrual journals as part of the monthly management accounts process in an accurate and timely manner.
  • To deal promptly with queries via telephone or e-mail, taking accurate messages where appropriate and ensuring queries are resolved in a timely manner.
  • To keep appropriate paperwork and documentation to support all financial transactions processed onto the system.
  • To run reports, analyse data and complete schedules & reconciliations as appropriate to ensure that all customer/supplier accounts are accurate and up to date.
  • To provide analysis and reports as required by the Management Accounts Team or other members of the finance team.
  • To ensure that all work completed is accurate and thorough. To deal with financial information with sensitivity and confidentiality as appropriate.
  • To attend the designated college course and work to achieve the requirements set out by the college.
  • To contribute through projects and activities designed to widen personal learning and development and to support the business needs of the group.

 

The training you will be getting

This is a 15 month programme which combines dedicated workplace
mentoring, on-the-job experience, access to high quality online
resources alongside an outstanding blended delivery model.
This route builds the necessary skills, knowledge and behaviours
required to become a highly competent Assistant Accountant.

Upon completion of the apprenticeship, you will have a Level 3 AAT qualification. 

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
