    Hourly rate £7.25 per hour rising to £9.50 per hour in second year of training.

  • Working week

    Working hours are 7.45am - 4.30pm, with 30-minute break for lunch, Monday to Thursday. Friday hours are 7.45am - 12.45pm. Day release is subject to Bradford college lesson times.

What you will do in your working day

The key duties for the roll of Level 2 Assembly Apprentice are:

  • Develop knowledge of assembly techniques to produce a range of high precision measuring equipment and instrumentation.
  • Work effectively on your own initiative and part of a team.
  • Always apply full attention to product specification and work to set timescales.
  • Attend Bradford College on a day release basis and apply oneself to appropriate engineering studies.
  • During on the job working hours apply oneself to practical learning and delivery of responsibilities.
  • Always comply with site Health and Safety guidelines.
  • Follow supervisor instructions for the efficient delivery of responsibilities.
  • Work to set timescales.
  • Work to product specifications.

The training you will be getting

  • Engineering Operative Level 2 apprenticeship Standard qualification delivered at Bradford College's Trinity Green Campus on a day release basis. 
  • Functional Skills maths and English if required, delivered on a block release basis at Bradford College. 

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

  • Full time permanent employment on completion of apprenticeship along with an opportunity to progress onto level 3 apprenticeship, subject to performance.
