An opportunity has arisen at our successful Chesterfield Depot who are looking to take on a highly motivated full-time apprentice in the role of Apprentice Plant Maintenance Fitter.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- Upon completion of the apprenticeship, you will receive an Intermediate Apprenticeship in Land-based Service Engineering
- Functional skills in maths and English (if required)
- Apprentices will attend Askham Bryan College in York on block release. There will be 10 study blocks each academic year which are Monday to Friday, 9-4pm
- It is expected that the Apprentice will either commute daily to college or stay in catered campus accommodation. All associated expenses will be covered by Champion Hire

Other requirements
This is a hands on physical role, maintaining and repairing items of plant and a variety of petrol, diesel and electric powered equipment. The role will include working both inside and outside.
