What you will do in your working day

  • Assisting with the delivery of sport and physical activities to children and young people, both in school curriculum time
  • Following the PE National Curriculum and/or set programs of study
  • Deliver a range of OSHL, (Out Of School Hours Learning) extracurricular activities before school, at lunch times, after school
  • Deliver on community holiday camps during out of term periods

The training you will be getting

  • The training for the programme will include online learning, webinars, practical sessions and visits in the workplace.
  • On completion you will achieve a Level 2 Sports Coach qualification and Functional Skills in maths and English, as required.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

  • Following completion of the Apprenticeship, there will be further employment opportunities available
