Summary

Charly Edwards Equestrian are looking for a fun hardworking apprentice, who is very willing to learn, to join their established team. They are predominately a showjumping yard with full liveries.

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

  • All training will be provided on site during your paid working hours.
  • Your day to day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination of online and in person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training Trainer Coach.
  • Functional Skills in maths and English, if required.
  • Level 2 Equine Groom qualification.

Other requirements

No accommodation or livery available and candidates must have previous experience of handling competition horses. All candidate must also be willing to travel, as there may be a need to travel to competitions. This role is non-riding but for the right candidate, there is a possibility of some hacking - but there will be no schooling. The apprenticeship is based onsite therefore, not lots of time in a classroom. If you didn't gain your GCSE grades in Maths & English, we can support you whilst on programme. To apply for this role you must be a UK resident or have lived in the EU 3 years or more.

Here at Charly Edwards Equestrian, we specialise in breaking and producing young horses for top sport showjumping. After this apprenticeship

  • Upon completion, there may be opportunity to enrol onto the Level 3 Senior Equine Groom apprenticeship and/or gain permeant employment.
  • If this isn't suitable, the yard have offered support to gain employment at another yard.
