A very busy GP practice located in the middle of Arnold Town Centre. We are looking for an enthusiastic team player to undertake reception and administration duties to assist in the daily running of a very busy GP practice. The successful candidate must be eager to learn and have an eye for detail.

    The Surgery is open from Monday, Thursday and Friday; 8:00am - 18:30pm. Tuesday and Wednesday; the surgery is open from 8:00 am-20:00. Occasional weekend working, flu clinics, etc.

What you will do in your working day

  • Greeting and directing patients.
  • Effective use of the appointment system.
  • Booking appointments.
  • Signposting.
  • Assisting patients as required.
  • To act as a point of contact for patients.

The training you will be getting

Customer Service Practitioner Level 2 (GCSE) Apprenticeship Standard

Apprentices who have not achieved the equivalent of Level 2 qualifications in maths and English will need to achieve Level 1 Functional Skills in these and work towards Level 2 Functional Skills.

Apprentices will be allocated a Trainer Assessor and training will be
planned and delivered in conjunction with the employer to meet the individual needs of the apprentice.

The apprentice will spend 20% of their working hours in off the job
activities and training. On the job and off the job training will be delivered in the workplace.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

We have employed nearly every apprentice that has worked for us
into a full-time role, here at the surgery.
