What you will do in your working day

Your time will be divided between attending classes on relevant subjects and practical experience in the workplace which will include: 

  • Assisting in the assessment of building faults
  • Supporting with the preparation of building maintenance work specifications
  • Obtaining quotations for work
  • Supporting the routine building maintenance service
  • Assisting in the preparation of building service schedules
  • Updating drawings and CAD plans
  • Liaising with internal departments and stakeholders
  • Supporting in the formulation of maintenance policy, health & safety and quality assurance
  • Carrying out general building maintenance related administrative tasks
  • Familiarising with, using and updating data on our maintenance software system

The training you will be getting

  •  Level 3 Surveying Technician Apprenticeship, Level 3 Diploma in Surveying leading to Associate member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
  • Training via South Bank Colleges
