Will Barnes Ltd is a successful recruitment agency based in Sittingbourne. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Business Administration Apprentice to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to train and develop your skills in a dynamic and supportive environment, becoming a valued member of our administrative team.

Role Overview:

As a Business Administration Apprentice, you will gain practical experience in various administrative functions, supporting our team and ensuring the smooth operation of our office. You will be responsible for handling paperwork, managing the office diary, liaising with the Recruitment Resourcer, and ensuring all documents are accurate and up to date.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all paperwork coming into the office, ensuring it is correctly processed, scanned, filed, and emailed
  • Answer phone calls and handle enquiries professionally and efficiently
  • Manage the office diary, scheduling appointments and coordinating with the Recruitment Resourcer
  • Verify right to work documents and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations
  • Check and ensure all forms on PandaDoc are completed correctly
  • Chase workers for any missing or incorrect information and obtain DBS checks as required
  • Support the team with additional administrative tasks as needed
  • Maintain a tidy and organised work environment

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Keen attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a proactive approach to tasks

The training you will be getting

This involves regular catch-ups, check-in emails and calls. Your employer will agree to give you 20% of your working hours solely towards your study.

This will give you every chance to achieve the highest grade possible! On completion of this 12 month apprenticeship you will have gained; Apprenticeship in Business Administration Level 3.

Things to consider

Working hours Please note that anyone under the age of 18 can only work a maximum of 40 hours per week. Any role which exceeds these hours should be amended accordingly, to fall in line with the legislation.
