What you will do in your working day

We are looking for someone new to join our small team, someone who is eager to learn and enjoy the dynamic world of childcare. This apprenticeship offers you the chance to gain valuable skills and a relevant childcare qualification, with the possibility to complete either a Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years Apprenticeship, depending on your experience.

As a Level 2 Childcare Apprentice, you will learn to plan and deliver engaging activities that provide a challenging and rewarding experience for the children, ensuring a safe and stimulating environment. This position requires a patient and dynamic individual to fulfil the role. If you feel you possess these qualities, we look forward to hearing from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Look after and care for young children between the ages of 1-4 years.
  • Assist in planning and delivering engaging activities to help children develop.
  • Provide a safe, secure, and stimulating environment for all children.
  • Perform daily tasks within the nursery routine, including general cleaning.
  • Assist with nappy changing and help with toileting.
  • Learn and participate in the day-to-day running of the setting.
  • Ensure the safety and happiness of all children in your care.

The training you will be getting

Paragon Skills is a leading national Apprenticeship training provider, supporting over 4,000 learners and 1,500 organisations. Paragon Skills has some of the highest success and achievement rates in the industry.

It has an Ofsted Grade 2 Good rating and an overall achievement rate of 71.4%, exceeding the national average of 65.6%. Using a blended approach, learners are always at the forefront of our priorities. All learners are assigned a Personal Tutor who will be their main point of contact.

This involves regular catch-ups, check-in emails and calls. Your employer will agree to give you 20% of your working hours solely towards your study.

This will give you every chance to achieve the highest grade possible! On completion of this 12 month apprenticeship you will have gained; Early Years Practitioner – Level 2

Functional Skills English and Maths if required.

Blended on/off the job training and location to be confirmed.

Things to consider

Working hours Please note that anyone under the age of 18 can only work a maximum of 40 hours per week. Any role which exceeds these hours should be amended accordingly, to fall in line with the legislation.
