What you will do in your working day

Main responsibilities:

  • Processing incoming and outgoing chaps, bacs, cheques and cash payments
  • Monitor and reconcile client and office bank accounts
  • Adhere to SRA Accounts Rules
  • Processing creditor statements, disbursements, payments
  • Archiving with Zero balances
  • Property completion statements and payments
  • Processing invoices

Apprentices will be required to take one of the professional qualifications listed below, as chosen by the employer to be most relevant to the job role:

 

  • AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting

  • ACCA Certificate in financial and management accounting (level 2)

  • IAB Level 2 certificate in bookkeeping

  • ICB Level 2 certificate in bookkeeping

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

  • After completion of Level 2 Apprenticeship, progress to Level 3 Accountancy qualification
