What you will do in your working day

  • Salary dependant on age and experience.
  • Working alongside our experienced Ductwork Draughtsperson and Project Managers to produce Technical Drawings using CAD Software.
  • Carry out occasional site surveys to obtain details to then produce drawings, accompanied to begin with progressing to solo visits.
  • Using our Pricing Software and drawing knowledge to produce estimates for potential new projects.
  • Assisting Project Managers by placing purchase orders with Suppliers and carrying out other general project administration duties.

The training you will be getting

You will achieve a Level 3 Engineering Design and Draughtsperson Qualification.  Alongside which you will also achieve a Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Engineering Technical Support - Engineering Drawing Qualification.  These are both delivered in the workplace through periodic visits by a designated Engineering Assessor over the course of 36 months.

There is also an option to study for a Level 3 Sub Diploma in Engineering Technologies qualification alongside the main course.  This is delivered remotely by an Engineering Tutor one day per week for two academic years.

Functional Skills tutoring is available for apprentices who have not met the required GCSE grades for the course.

The training provider is Train'd Up.
