What you will do in your working day

Main duties of the Planning & Order Verification Apprentice to include, however not limited to:

  • To support the Estimating and Planning department in the Planning & Order Verification process
  • Identify existing components on our ERP system by part number and / or drawing number
  • Update existing and create new components on our ERP system
  • Cross referencing Purchase Order prices against Estimates, checking validity and accuracy  of pricing
  • Update Customer contracts and customer contract pricing
  • Support the order verification process in requesting additional drawing formats and updating existing
  • Request quotations from external suppliers and update Vendor pricing
  • Communicating with both Internal and External contacts
  • Convert Estimate Job routing and add / update addition standard text notes for Production
  • Learning and using company computer (ERP) systems
  • General administrative tasks for all Estimating and Planning sub-departments, printing copying etc
  • Learning and understanding about the company and the available products/services
  • Giving feedback on office efficiency and suggesting possible improvements
  • Adherence and understanding of Company Health and Safety procedures

The training you will be getting

Business administrator Level 3 (A level)

You will complete an advanced apprenticeship. You will atatend college, one day every two weeks at our Freemens Park Campus. 

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

Once you have completed this apprenticeship you can progress onto a management programme with the company.
