What you will do in your working day

  • Car and van routine servicing
  • Mechanical and electrical repairs
  • Replacing tyres, exhausts and batteries
  • Connection cars to the diagnostic machine and testing for faults
  • General tidying of all work areas
  • Tyre stock control and management (training given)
  • Mot assistant
  • Occasional car cleaning and valeting

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

Upon completing your apprenticeship, you can progress onto level 3 Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician apprenticeship standard
