What you will do in your working day

To manage and support all administrative duties within the Hereford Office. 

  • Meet, greet and hosting customers and suppliers when they visit the office.
  • Preparing conference rooms for meetings and tidying the conference rooms following the completion of meetings.
  • Assisting the whole LPA team with daily tasks as required.
  • Personal assistant activities to support the management team.
  • Aspects of calendar management
  • Liaising with all members of the LPA team.
  • Receiving incoming calls and taking messages.
  • Maintaining the internal telephone number list.
  • Ordering stationery provisions.
  • Taking post to the post office.
  • Ensuring kitchen supplies are well stocked.
  • Sorting lunches as and when required for meetings.
  • Supporting the logistics team when required.

The duties outlined above are not meant to be exhaustive or restrictive and will be added to/or amended from time to time. 

The training you will be getting

Formal training is delivered at HWGTA, located in Holmer Road (HR4 9SX).

You will receive a training plan that is specific to your qualification, with sessions that are delivered through a combination of face-to-face and remote.

Additional training for functional skills in English and Maths will be undertaken if needed.

You will receive monthly visits from your assigned Learning and Development Specialist, who will set you work, monitor your development and wellbeing, and discuss training sessions. They will also prepare you for your End Point Assessment to gain your Business Administrator Level 3 qualification.

There is also a five-day teambuilding residential trip that is held in spring of each year.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

A full-time position may be offered at the end of a successful apprenticeship.

Things to consider

Main location of work will be Hereford but there may be the occasional need to travel (travel costs would be covered). Due to the nature of the work carried out by Level Peaks Associates for the UK Government/MOD, the apprentice will be security vetted. Security vetting: Successful candidates must be a UK National and be able to obtain Baseline Personnel Security Standard vetting. Drugs Policy The use of illegal or non-prescribed drugs by the apprentice will result in the immediate termination of the apprenticeship. The role will have high and low levels of demand at times so you will need to be able to be proactive, find work, and help where you can.
