What you will do in your working day

-Assisting the lead plumber with daily tasks such as organising materials, ordering plumbing and heating items and general day to day housekeeping.

-Installing plumbing and heating components in new build houses such as radiators, sanitaryware, cylinders and all other aspects of the plumbing and heating design.

-Speaking with other trades and site managers to organise work.

-Working alongside the lead plumber to make sure key programme target dates are achieved.

The training you will be getting

The apprentice will work towards attaining the Plumbing and Domestic Heating Technician Apprenticeship with one day a week training at Weymouth College.

Functional skills if required.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

Following completion of the apprenticeship the right candidate may be taken on as a permanent member of staff.

You MUST be prepared to commit to your work and training for the duration of the apprenticeship. You will be required to attend an interview and assessment at Weymouth College prior to your application being passed on.
