What you will do in your working day

- Caring for children and helping them progress in their development

- Looking after children's day to day needs, preparing snacks, changing nappies

- Working closely with parents to ensure a happy and healthy child

The training you will be getting

The training will be a level 2 Early Years Practitioner with Kendal College, which will be 1 day per week in college and 3/4 days in the setting. 

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

At the end of the apprenticeship, you will have the opportunity to apply for a full time position within the nursery, or continue and so your level 3 apprentiship. However, apprentices can also used their qualification to move in to exciting fields and fulfilling career paths such as primary school teaching, paediatric nursing, midwifery, private au pairs, holiday camp leaders and social work.

Things to consider

Please note that we are in a rural area, bus links from Ulverston and Kendal are good, but use of own car, or someone to drop you off would be beneficial.
