What you will do in your working day

As a Business Administrator, you will be accountable to the office manager, Service Manager, Registered Manager and Directors of Freedom Support Ltd.  The purpose of office support is to provide assistance in completing general administrative, IT tasks and be instrumental in the smooth running of the office environment.

  • Check-in and send out post using the ‘post logging system’
  • Rota/cover duties as instructed by the Managing Director or your managers
  • Working with IT systems, ie Rota System
  • To ensure all filing is correctly identified and filed in the appropriate place.
  • To destroy out of date or superfluous documentation as instructed by your managers
  • To do monthly updates on SU lists and Staff contacts.
  • To check the insurance and MOT records of support staff are updated monthly
  • To work with your managers to ensure staff sickness/absenteeism is recorded accurately and that Back to Work interviews are completed and appropriately logged.
  • Conduct return to work meetings when required.
  • File housekeeping duties; ensuring all files worked on are in a tidy order before filing away on the appropriate systems.
  • Observe a tidy desk policy at all times
  • Other duties as office requirements dictate

The training you will be getting

The successful candidates will achieve the Level 3 Diploma in Business & Administration working the Health & Social Care setting. 

Functional Skills English and Maths if required.

6 hours off the job training will be agreed upon with the employer and the successful candidate.  

Workplace visits will take place with an assessor who will review and observe your progress, whilst supporting you to build a portfolio of evidence.
