What you will do in your working day

Reception Duties:

  • Greet and welcome visitors in a courteous and professional manner, signing in and out visitors and offering drinks
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls to the appropriate department or individual
  • First sight generic inboxes redirecting inquiries and acknowledging receipt
  • Manage the reception area, ensuring it is clean, organized, and presentable at all times
  • Receive and distribute mail and packages
  • Coordinate with the Operations team when deliveries are project related

General Admin

  • Office equipment and stock management. Monitor levels of office stationery and equipment and replenish as required
  • Assist in the preparation of stand operating procedures, templates and forms as required
  • Provide support to meetings where we are hosting guests – setting up the room as required, providing refreshments and tidy up post meeting
  • As required provide note-taking support
  • Provide support to the Business Support Team undertaking tasks as appropriate

Training Support

  • Assist the Riverlution Managing Director to manage course bookings via the online booking system and to prepare the materials required for the course and post administrative functions

The training you will be getting

  • The successful candidate will work towards a Level 3 Business Administration qualification which will take 18 months plus End Point Assessment.
  • Training schedule has yet to be agreed. Details will be made available at a later date.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

At intermediate level you could train to become a team leader, floor manager or trainee supervisor. With an advanced management apprenticeship you could become an assistant manager, section manager or first line manager. Higher apprenticeships lead to careers as a senior manager, head of department or director.
