Summary
Support the kitchen by preparing, cooking and finishing a range of food items whilst rotating around each section of the kitchen. Work as part of the kitchen team to ensure the quality of the food items produced meet brand, organisational and legislative requirements including the completion of food safety management documentation.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
- The apprentice will be working towards attaining a Level 2 Commis Chef Apprenticeship qualification, with one day a week training at Yeovil College
- Functional Skills in English and maths, if required

Other requirements
You MUST be prepared to commit to your work and training for the duration of the apprenticeship. You will be required to attend an interview and assessment at Yeovil College prior to your application being passed on. If a suitable candidate is found prior to the advertised closing date it may close earlier so please apply early to avoid disappointment. The Kings Arms is in Thornford for those without transport the public transport is on the Weymouth - Bristol train line. a short one stop journey from Yeovil Penmill.
