Interested in Robots, Engineering and Agriculture? Join our experienced team in a fully kitted out workshop and train as an Electrical Design and Panel Builder. While progressing to specialise in the Robotics field or as a Field Service Engineer. Learn to design, wire and test a wide range of agricultural/industrial bagging and weighing equipment.

Monday to Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm with a one hour lunch break from 1pm-2pm and tea breaks 10am-10:15am and 3:15pm-3:25pm. Potential overtime available.

Work

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.

What you’ll do at work

  • The Apprentice will be working towards the Level 3 Engineering Technician Apprenticeship Standard (Product Design & Development Pathway)
  • Qualifications include: Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Foundation Competence)
    Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Competence)
  • The apprentice will be working towards a Level 3 Diploma or Extended Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge) - Product Design & Development Pathway
  • College attendance will be at Colchester Institute Campus and online

Other requirements

Location could be considered remote, so access to reliable transport/the ability to drive would be advantageous. Pickups can be arranged from the right location. No shops within walking distance so lunch must be arranged prior to arriving at work. Lastly, the majority of the work will be carried out in our factory based in Cressing, Braintree; but we also have a service department and visits to site to see how some of the machines are serviced and maintained.
