What you will do in your working day

Day to day duties will include:

  • Maintain the cleanliness of the salon throughout the day
  • Preparing clients for their services
  • Shampoo, condition and rinse hair 
  • Reception duties such as answering telephone calls and making appointments
  • Colouring, styling and cutting the hair
  • Assisting and observing the stylists to gain knowledge on the different techniques
    You will undertake general house keeping duties involved within the salon. You will be trained in Consultation, shampoo and condition the hair and scalp, style and finish hair the different cutting techniques and  colouring techniques. Reception duties including booking appointments and taking payments on the online system

The training you will be getting

  • Level 2 Diploma for Hair Professional (Hairdressing)
  • Functional skills in maths and English to Level 2 if required
    The Practical and Theory training will be delivered by one of the NHTA tutors within the salon. You can also attend the academy to receive extra training away from the salon.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

  • To progress onto the advanced hairdressing apprenticeship.

We stock and consult on the Nioxin treatment systems for fine and thinning hair. We have a large range of Wella products available. The Environmentally friendly WeDo/ including shampoo bars and dual purpose items and the invigo shampoos and conditioners. We also stock the EIMI finishing products to assist you with your perfect look from home. Hair ups for Proms and Weddings are also available.
