What you will do in your working day

  •  To work with the Web Support team, assisting with tickets and various web maintenance tasks
  • Acting as first-line support, dealing with support tickets as they arise
  • Web maintenance for our clients’ Websites, from small brochure sites to fully featured ecommerce sites
  • Diagnosing reported issues and fixing bugs
  • Supporting the Development Team with other web-related tasks

The training you will be getting

The apprenticeship training is delivered through a combination of workplace learning and regular college attendance. This training will teach you the knowledge, skills and behaviours set out in the Software Developer Level 4 standard. On completion the apprentice will receive Software Developer Level 4 qualification. Functional Skills in Maths and English may also be required depending on current level.   

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

If the apprentice is successful in their role, there may be an opportunity to continue their career and training as a full-time Junior Web Developer with Iconography.

You MUST be prepared to commit to your work and training for the duration of the apprenticeship. In some cases, you may be required to have a telephone interview with Yeovil College prior to your application being passed on.
