What you will do in your working day

This role will require you to support the team with all aspects of a busy finance department.

Your main duties will include:

  • Acting as a core team member supporting finance administration, covering areas such as bookkeeping and basic costing principles
  • Preparing and processing invoice and supporting with payroll and expenses as required
  • Gaining an insight into general finance processes and principles within a busy Finance team; and
  • Providing ad hoc support in a variety of finance related tasks to the team as required
  • Maintain and update appropriate files, to ensure that the team has access to the most up to date information
  • Draft correspondence as required by colleagues

The training you will be getting

The apprenticeship is delivered in line with Apprenticeship Standard ST0608 - Accounts or Finance Assistant and will be delivered in conjunction with the training provider, Lakes College.

  • AAT Level 2 Foundation Certificate in Accounting
