This role involves a combination of everyday administrative duties as well as more challenging and demanding tasks that are assigned on an ad hoc basis – full training will be provided. You will receive a Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship qualification.

What you will do in your working day

  • Provide essential administrative assistance to the existing administrative team.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with customers and suppliers, via email and telephone.
  • Build and maintain successful relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring the services provided are meeting their needs.
  • Support delivery of the company services, ensuring internal procedures and processes are followed at all times.
  • Maintain in-house systems, ensuring that data entered is accurate and relevant.
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Receive deliveries, update stock, process purchase and sales orders; miscellaneous accounting tasks.
  • Undertake in-house training and attend external apprenticeship training as and when required.

The training you will be getting

  • Apprentices will be working towards the Level 3 Business Administrator Standard.
  • Apprentices will be supported via an agreed training plan. Training will be discussed at enrolment and will include input from the employer, training provider and apprentice.
  • The apprentice will receive monthly workplace or virtual visits with a dedicated assessor.
  • The assessor will set individualised learning tasks as part of the apprentice’s workplace training that will incorporate your daily role and duties.
  • There is no set mandatory qualification within this Standard, however all training will be delivered to allow students to stretch to the highest grade at EPA (distinction). 8 weekly reviews will monitor progress by all parties.
  • Apprentices completing this standard, will gain 15 months of practical training and the remaining 3 months will be dedicated to End Point Assessment preparation.
  • The EPA consists of:
    • Knowledge test
    • Portfolio based interview
    • Project presentation

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

  • Possibility of a permanent full-time position upon successfully completing the apprenticeship.
