What you will do in your working day

  • Helping to setup nursery activities for children
  • Supporting children to engage in activities
  • Supporting children at meal times and assisting with eating and drinking where required
  • Getting involved in creative and messy play with children
  • Helping children to listen, read, sing, count and join in with imaginative play
  • Ensuring children are safe and supervised
  • Helping to plan activities and games
  • Carry out observations with qualified staff
  • Learning how to communicate with parents and carers
  • Tidying away after an activity is finished
  • Making sure children feel safe, happy and content
  • Any other duties as requested by your manager
