What you will do in your working day

Duties will include:

  • Assisting with the analysis of data to ensure that our policy work is informed and evidence-based.
  • Supporting the work to develop a new Council plan and priorities.
  • Working and engaging with colleagues, councillors, and external partners on the above-mentioned topics as relevant.
  • Supporting the work on Climate Change and Environmental initiatives and co-ordination of council wide approaches to reduce carbon emissions.
  • Assisting the team in gathering information for the Annual Governance Assessment and Statement.
  • Supporting the assessment of Council decision-making and its impacts.
  • Undertaking relevant administrative activities, including note-taking and sending emails.
  • Dealing with general enquiries into the service area, via the telephone, email, social media, letter, or in person.
  • Undertaking other duties which may arise or be delegated from time to time.

The training you will be getting

  • Learning will take place within the workplace and you will meet with a tutor regularly.
  • Once the Apprenticeship is complete you will receive a Level 3 qualification in Business Administration.
