    At SCC we are committed to paying Foundation Living Wage as a minimum. Your salary as an apprentice will be £23,151 (pro rata) annually and may increase in line with any national rise in Foundation Living Wage.

What you will do in your working day

  • To gather evidence as instructed by the training provider in order to compile a portfolio for end point assessment
  • To support the delivery of housing management services to ensure they are efficient, meet tenants and leaseholder’s requirements, improve the service to our residents, and is responsive to the requirements of the service
  •  To support the work in enabling good landlord and tenant relationships
  • To maintain accurate information on the Council’s IT Housing Management systems to manage case work
  • To always consider safeguarding issues and that concerns are referred as appropriate
  • To support work and carry out estate-based visits

The training you will be getting

  • Studying towards the Level 3 Housing and Property Management Apprenticeship
  • Internal induction programme when starting employment with us
  • Training schedule has yet to be agreed. Details will be made available at a later date.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

Upon completion you will be a qualified Housing and Property Management Operative. 

Although we can’t guarantee you a permanent job at the end of your apprenticeship, we will support you to apply for suitable roles within the council, and help make sure you are ready for a wider job search.
